baby's first name day...

G and his Papou share the same name and today, St. George's Day, was his very first name day. In Greek culture the Saint Day a person is named for has even more significance than one's birthday. G will likely love this fact growing up with his Christmas Eve birthday! This name day was even more special as Papou is finally, blessedly in good health after a month in and out of the hospital and having had bypass surgery. He is doing great and we all think that having G around has been the best possible thing for his recovery.
Hugs from YiaYia and Papou:
G was very interested in the colorful confetti on the cake. Not surprising as he has been loving bold patterns and colors lately. Still quite a while before he is able to taste cake or ice cream but, photos are allowed!
Xronia polla baby boy!

Isn't it amazing what a little boy will do for the health of a grandpa? We've seen the same here :)
